Mexico Day!

Hola Mexico!

Class 3 have had a FANTASTIC day doing everything Mexican!

We have made salsa and guacamole which was really fun! We ate it with tortilla wraps and tortilla crisps! It was yummy!

We were fortunate enough to have a samba dance workshop in the afternoon! It really got us into the Mexican spirit!

We made a refreshing Mexican Margarita to drink after we had finished our dancing!

Wow - what a fun day we have had!

AMAZING 'BLOOD HEART' HOMEWORK!

Look at the FANTASTIC homework that we created in Class 3 this half term for our Blood Heart topic:

For my homework I have made a fitness sheet and a booklet all about the heart. I have written in my booklet lots of different facts about the heart. The most interesting fact that I found out is  that a heart is only as big as a pear!

For my homework I did a little booklet about the heart. We had six weeks to do it because it was a big topic. The best thing about my heart project is the front page because the heart is red and the I chose to do the writing in red too. I like the second page because it is about giving blood and saving people's lives. I loved this topic!

I found this topic very interesting because it was very fun! We had 6 weeks and we drew diagrams, we did exercise, we cooked healthy food, we made the circulatory system out of playdough. I loved it.

I though this topic was so fun because I got to cook, dissect a lamb's heart and do a really big project about it. It was so fun! I also really liked drawing the big person outside and pretending to be the blood running through it.

I enjoyed our topic about the heart because we got to do lots of different activities, e.g. making fake blood, dissecting a heart, creating a chalk circulatory system and our big heart project. I have learnt the names of the different parts that make up the circulatory system.

This topic was so fun! We got to explore the human body and find out how it works! My favorite part was the cooking because we got to experiment with different ingredients and make a healthy pizza.

I have really enjoyed skipping, dissecting the lamb's heart and I've enjoyed researching about heart surgeons. I found it interesting to learn about different types of blood and making blood.

We have done lots of really fun sports throughout this topic. We have been learning about skipping and how it can keep you healthy. We have been seeing how many skips we can do in 2 minutes. We also created a really cool dance.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this topic. I normally prefer other subjects to Science but I have found this one very interesting. I loved it when saw the lamb's heart because we got to feel it!

I loved this topic and really enjoyed spending time on my project. One of the most exciting facts I learnt was that out of all the 75 trillion blood cells the cornea doesn't get any of it!

I have really enjoyed this topic, especially when we made fake blood and dissected a heart. I learnt about the most dangerous surgery in world, the abdominal aortic aneurysm, for my heart project.

I really enjoyed drawing the heart in my project; it helped by actually seeing a real heart. I really like science so I have found this topic very interesting!

Chalk fun!

Our final task for the Blood Heart topic was to create a chalk circulatory system on the playground and we had to recreate the movement of the blood around the body. We used blue cards to symbolise deoxygenated blood and red cards to symbolise oxygenated blood! Have a look at our fabulous work:
